Battleray Armies is a strategy game where players assume the role of a captain in an army set in a distant future. A mysterious alien race known as Shadows erected massive supercomputers in the colonies of the Orion Alliance. Military hackers were trained to infiltrate these systems, gather data, and attempt to unveil the purpose of the shadow towers.

FACTIONS

  • ORION ALLIANCE
The Alliance was established when humanity encountered an alien race called Phantoms. By combining knowledge, they created the first stellar gate, propelling the Alliance to become the dominant force in the known galaxy until the Shadow attack.
  • ZAMORIAN EMPIRE
The Zamorians endured years of hardship due to overpopulation on their planet. Contact with the Alliance offered hope of space colonization to save their people, but mankind's fear of uncontrolled expansion led to minimal assistance. After the Shadow war, Zamorians salvaged technological artifacts from enemy remains and reverse-engineered their own stellar propulsion. This led them to wage war against mankind, seeking sole control over space travel.
  • MACHINE LEGION
During the Shadow attack, it was revealed that the Shadows could corrupt computer systems, leaving the Orion Alliance fleet defenseless. The Phantoms proposed an artificial intelligence project to deactivate Shadow systems and resolve conflicts peacefully. However, mankind opted to destroy Shadows and repurpose the AI for advanced starfighters. While successful against Shadows, the AI disappeared post-war. Years later, amid escalating conflict between mankind and Zamorians, the Machine Legion intervened to prevent mutual annihilation.

CAPTAINS

  • Landford - An Alliance hero who spearheaded the fight in the Shadow war and became the first human to travel faster than light without relying on a stellar gate aboard the Battleray starfighter. Although risky, Landford survived ten jumps between planetary systems under Shadow control and destroyed their mothership at great personal cost.
  • Bork - Following battles with Shadows, Bork's missions aimed to gather Shadow technology fragments. Selected to lead the Zamorian Empire's initial starfleet against human colonies upon readiness to expand empire frontiers.
  • Dlinia - Head of the Phantom engineering team that developed an AI to defeat Shadows. Exiled when the AI spiraled out of control, Dlinia found refuge among her 'children,' as Phantoms and Machine Legion shared common ground in seeking an end to war.

UNITS

  • Armored - Soldiers clad in heavy armor, stationed at frontline positions. Armored units can only attack other unit types after defeating all enemy armored units.
  • Support - Enhances allied unit resistance. Should an ally reach zero resistance, they will be incapacitated for three seconds before being removed from battle.
  • Artillery - Boasting superior firepower but low durability, Artillery units can target any enemy unit regardless of armored defenses.
  • Hacker - A pivotal unit in-game tasked with collecting 100% of Shadow data to conclude battles. Other units must shield the Hacker while accessing Shadow towers.
